I don't think so
Very friendly and engaging staff. Fantastic food that is freshly prepared. We asked for a double order to go and they Cooked our meal when they noticed we were just about done with the first one. Very attentive. Cozy little place.
It's pretty great. The food colors were great. The rice was way whiter than most places. The chips were probably the best though. They were fresh, and the guacamole was good too. Not the worst place I've eaten at.
The woman who works there is very nasty to customers for some unknown reason but the food is good. Won't be going back because she works there!!!!
The quality of the food was good, but the taste was bland. It was not up to what I expected from Peruvian cuisine. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I hope they put a little more effort into the seasoning of their chicken, this is a nice place.
Amazing food! I highly recommend! I ordered pork tacos and fried plantains and both were amazing.
Best Place to sample Peruvian Delicacies,if your near Towson Town Center Mall. Don’t let appearances fool you—the decor may be divey, but their Charboiled Chicked and Lombo Saltado was Amazing.😋
Update: Second visit after new owner/management. The food is wayy better, the place is cleaner, and suitable for dining in. I tried 3 dishes, Steak/beef tacos, Grilled Chicken, and Some Steak dish with fries and rice and all were AMAZING. Will come again and recommend to friends and family :-) Original review 2 yrs ago:Very good chicken and side of rice, I love it. It's like the best Middle Eastern dish ever! ( I know it's Mexican but it's that good ! )
Get the pupusas. You won’t be disappointed.
The chicken is mediocre nothing special about it , the rice is dry and kind of hard, the coleslaw is nasty, if you want good peruvian food spot try the one in Towson off of Taylor avenue there's the best trust me VERY GOOD THERE . I really do not see why people posted so much good reviews here...
The owners are very nice people and make excellent food, I’ve gone there many times and have always been satisfied.
This is no a Peruvian restaurant, the chicken was so bad i didn't eat it
Food was horrible & over cooked , meat was un chewable that’s how hard it was , waste of time and money , I don’t recommend
incredible food. no frills
The best cervich and fried rice! The food is so fresh! The fish is delicate but firm. The portions are huge, but I always manage to finish them both!
Great food with resonable price!
Quick service. Fresh food.
Some days I go to eat here and there is a legit grandma in the kitchen cooking the food.... That's how you know it's going to be awesome. I love this place.
Love this place. Great quality food, great prices, locally owned. One of the best little-known-secrets of Towson.
Their diner is quite small, but their food is good. They have a decent sized menu and their food boasts fairly robust flavors. It isn't the best Peruvian restaurant I've been to, but it is near the top of my list when it come to food and service.
Great place to grab take home Peruvian whole chicken (rotisserie coal-baked oven) dinner for the family. With two sides (fries, salad) comes out around $20 with jalapeño purée side sauce included. We usually also get fried plantains, which are like a cross of potato and banana. Owner Loredo is very friendly. Go to place during hectic weekday evening.
Clean little Peruvian food store with a limited menu but a deft hand at cooking up the standards. Don't come looking for presentation or fancy dining, but the cooking is solid, the ingredients are fresh and the service is "authentic" (a little slow and you have to ask for the check...) I would have enjoyed some beans or plantains as a side with a meal, but the price was right.
Great food, super clean dining area, and friendly people.
This place is simply fabulous. Food is authentic and excellent. They go out of their way to make you feel like an honored guest in their humble home.
The food is always fantastic. The staff is incredibly hospitable. I sat at the table outside waiting for my order to be ready. The gentleman brought it to me with silverware and napkins. When I was finished, he came out to see if I enjoyed it and cleaned the table for me. They were all extremely pleasant and friendly.
One of the fewer restaurants that use a real wood rotisserie for their chicken. Absolutely the best chicken you can eat. And thats coming from someone whose main diet is chicken.
My wife and I took our three little boys there yesterday. It's friendly, small and exactly our kind of place. Hard to find nice places like this here in the states. Great beans, great chicken, great plantains, everything we got was good It's small, cozy, and priced well.
I’d call it a 4.7. Very friendly, always ready on time, and most importantly, the food is always delicious. We stick with mostly the Peruvian dishes, but everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. We try to order something new each time, plus what we know we like, and have never been dissatisfied. Excellent dishes include fried plantains, carne asada, lomo soltada, and whole chicken. Did I mention the fried plantains- wow! 😉
Chicken was best part. Sides are okay.
Fantastic food and really nice owners. We had the tacos with carnitas, some chicken and a burrito. All were excellent
Nice people they are so nice ! Food was really food !!!!
Very cozy and welcoming place. For starters is not Mexican, it's Peruvian with some Mexican dishes. The servings are very fulfilling and tasty, I ordered the carne asada (grilled beef), it comes with a side of rice, beans and salad also 2 handmade tortillas. One of the best things about this place is even though the food is already cut, you can feel the freshness of it, once in your mouth. Local place, excellent service, affordable for the serving size.
Small but the service and food are both awesome
Really hospitable and friendly staff, DELICIOUS food and very affordable. I had the chicken enchiladas and plantains and it was absolute heaven.
Have been coming for years. Chicken always moist and amazing! Everything cooked with love.
Bad experience today. We had a whole rotisserie chicken with fries, white rice and black beans. The sides were ok. ( No fried rice at this place). I was looking for something comparable to that flavor profile you get from Sardie's roti chicken. This experience was bland. I will not go back.
Okay to grab a quick lunch
So damn good... I mean if you like chicken.
Delicious food! Friendly service. Nothing fancy, often busy. Great to grab and go or sit and enjoy. Small inside sitting area. Most everyone speaks Spanish and the TV is often playing soccer or on a Spanish channel. Best Peruvian Chicken in the area!
Best tasting chicken cooked Peruvian style in towson! Don't be fooled by the location (small store off York road) Small business but big heart with friendly staff and delicious food. The owner is super nice and is proud of his food. Try it out! Very affordable too!
I think it's a little expensive. Food was ok.
This place is a bit tucked away so I'm really glad I found it last time I was in Towson. The food is fantastic and I love the laid-back vibe of the place. The owners and employees are so friendly and really go out of their way to make sure that you are taken care of. I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in the area and highly recommend this place to anyone in the Towson area!
Good tender Peruvian chicken with friendly service.
Loretto provides the hospitality and Hilda provides delicious home cooked meals. Everything is phenomenal!
Great quality food and actually "authentic". There's enough variety of items available if you want to do something more luxurious and expensive as far as platters go and there's affordable options for those wanting to be on a budget and get some tamales burritos. 😋 ambiance is pretty quiet, and higher end.
Great food!
Was rather quiet when we went but good service and friendly
Great food. Easy in and out or small indoor seating area.
Fantastic locally owned place!
Food is good but I ordered the carne asada and it states in the menu that it comes with tortillas and didn’t come with it. They forgot the most important thing to the dish, not sure if I would return or not.
I did not have a good experience here. The chicken was dry. They gave me white rice. Then they gave me a tamarind drink that tasted like mildew. Not sure if they fell off because of covid-19 but, check your food before you walk out. I won't be eating here again.
